Munfordville is fabulous in any season,
but FALL is really something special.
1. The White Pumpkin
For years, the Brew House on Main Street has featured their “white pumpkin” and it has been a constant love affair with all the locals & travelers alike. Think of a cozy film starring white chocolate and pumpkin spice with guest appearances by cinnamon and nutmeg. White Chocolate not your thing? It’s okay. They also offer pumpkin spice and Salted Caramel Lattes, plus their regular menu of wonderful coffees, espressos and lattes plus teas.

2. Dessert Picnics
Desserts taste even sweeter in the fall. Stop by Murray’s Restaurant, where there is always a “Desert Special” happening daily. Take in some fried ice cream or churros at El Mazatlan. Or indulge in any of the sweet frozen treats at Dairy Queen, McDonalds or Sonic. Create your own dessert picnic by grabbing some honey or jam from our welcome center and enjoying it with some biscuits from the IGA deli. Shouldn’t dessert picnics become a thing?
There’s no better time to enjoy the outdoors than fall & Munfordville offers so many ways to opt outside. Enjoy a walk in the park at the Green River Park & Arboretum. Hike the Jenny Wilson Byrd Trail. Canoe the Green River. Play a round of disc golf. Dink your way to victory on the public and always free Green River Pickleball Courts. Stroll through town & enjoy the history here.

On November 18th we have a Christmas Open House – complete with ice skating rink and snow falling on Main Street. The festivities begin at 4 pm.
5. Quirky Fun
Find a Munfordville landmark to photograph. There’s really no shortage of them here. We have two ghost Coke murals. We are even home to Kentucky Stonehenge. Pose by the town fountain, read the history about that here, or grab some sunflowers from our local florist and create your own focal point. And don’t forget to stop by the Munfordville Welcome Center to begin your fun. It’s quirky central, complete with Munfordville’s own pet birds and fish. Gather up a fun souvenir and talk to Patti about where to head next!
